People & Places 

Join us as we continue to tell the stories of the People and Places of Langston Boulevard. The People and Places Project is not just a celebration, but a crucial effort to preserve the rich cultural heritage found along Langston Boulevard. Funded through an Arlington County historic preservation grant, LBA is collecting the stories of legacy businesses, local leaders and historic locations that have played an important role in defining our shared sense of place in the communities along the boulevard.

County Board adopts $5.2 billion 10-year Capital Improvement Plan

The Arlington County Board voted Tuesday, July 23, 2024, to adopt a $5.2 billion FY25-FY34 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The plan was informed by more than 3,100 community members who weighed in on their top priorities. The CIP is the County’s 10-year plan for building, maintaining, upgrading, or replacing County facilities and infrastructure.

New Regulations for Small Businesses

The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), effective January 2024, aims to combat illegal activities like money laundering and fraud. It requires many small businesses to file a Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR). Here’s a quick guide to help you understand and comply with these new requirements.
