Arlington County Board Seeks New HRC Members

The Arlington County Board is inviting members of our community to consider applying for one of the many Standing Advisory Groups and Commissions that provide guidance to the Board on various issues. As the Board liaison to the Human Rights Commission (HRC),

The goal of the HRC is to ensure the protection and enforcement of human and civil rights for all people in Arlington County, and a major function of this work is ensuring equal opportunity through the enforcement of Arlington’s Human Rights Ordinance (Chapter 31 of County Code). This includes working with the Arlington Office of Human Rights’ Executive Director, who will investigate complaints received by the HRC.

Recruitment is ongoing, and should anyone have any questions on the HRC, its responsibilities and roles, please direct them to Graham Weinschenk (gweinschenk@arlingtonva.us).
